About the role:
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing a range of second line infrastructure issues.
Youll have the opportunity to work on technical projects for clients, particularly across Microsoft 365 and Azure implementations.
Youll contribute to a collaborative team environment by knowledge-sharing with senior level IT Support Engineers, and provide support to 1st Line Support Technicians.
Requirements:
You will need to have experience working in a high-level 1st Line Support Engineer role as a minimum, but preferably come from a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer or similar background
You should be passionate about forging a strong career and be willing to learn new skills and technologies
A full driving license and a car is essential
Preferably, you will have experience working within the Managed Services industry, however this is not a deal-breaker.
Technical requirements:
Windows operating systems, AD, DHCP, DNC, Group Policies
Microsoft cloud solutions (e.g. M365/Azure)
Backup and antivirus solutions
Networking technologies (e.g. LAN, switches, routers, wireless access points, VPNs, etc.)
WatchGuard, Unifi, Meraki, or similar (advantageous)
Virtualisation solutions (advantageous)
Don't worry if you don't tick all the technical requirements as the company will review each application on a case by case basis and will provide relevant training courses to help you upskill.
Other important information:
Location: Poole, Dorset (remote options 1-2 days per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (flexible working can be discussed)
