Our client based in Aberdeen are looking for an Accountant to join their team on a staff basis.

• Supporting the accounting process for the Company, its branches and subsidiaries
• Communicating with the regions and locations to maintain complete and accurate location accounting records
• Assisting with month end procedures and reporting
• Preparing and executing On-Stream consolidation
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for the Company, its branches and subsidiaries
• Preparing and reviewing cost centre analysis for month end purposes, making any necessary adjustments and working with the Department Managers on variances
• Preparing and processing any necessary journals into the financial system
• Working with the branches, subsidiaries and other departments to improve processes
• Assisting with the completion of the VAT returns for the Company
• Reconciling specific intercompany accounts
• Preparing analysis reports where necessary
• Supporting the statutory reporting processes for the Company, its branches and subsidiaries including involvement in the internal and external audit process
• Providing support for the corporation tax return process
• Assisting with any ad-hoc assignments as required
Qualifications & Training
Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA or similar)
• Previous experience working in the accounting operations of a finance team
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Use of ERP systems
