ADAS & AD Verification and Validation System Test Engineer

Responsible for vehicle based ADAS and autonomous Driving (AD) validation and verification (V&V) activities and signoff. To plan and manage activities and perform tests . Role will work with broader V&V team and external suppliers to deliver scalable rig and vehicle based ADAS DVP and AD validation Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reviews system requirements and defines effective functional and non-function test cases.
  • Perform Validation & Verification planning for projects (Design Verification Plan (DVP))
  • Work to define ADAS & AD V&V test methods and creation of test cases and test scripts ready for execution.
  • Perform ADAS & AD manual and automated testing and present reports.
  • Work with non-vehicle V&V Engineers ( SiL/HiL ), component and systems engineers to ensure ADAS functional level signoff.
  • Review ADAS & AD test data results , log capture and issues generated.
  • Support integration issue resolution working with internal and external system teams to replicate issues and support design analysis

Requirements

Qualification & Experience

  • Good knowledge of ADAS & AD operation design domain and systems
  • Experience in real time simulation environments AVSimulation, DSPACE, VI Grade, Matlab & Simulink within the Automotive/Motorsport industry others such as IPG/ASM/DriveSim are accepted.
  • Experience of automation of Vehicle/HIL/Labcar level testing and data acquisition of ADAS/AD systems
  • Experience in system test strategy design including the effective use of automation, writing test cases and test scripts
  • Good project management skills to enable test planning and efficient delivery
  • Working level knowledge of Vector CAN tools
  • Working level knowledge of source control and version management process and tools
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools
  • Working knowledge of Requirements capture tools (eg. Polarion/Doors ) and automation frameworks within CI/CD
  • Working Knowledge of Object-oriented programming– such as Python, C/C++, automation desk
  • Working Knowledge of Scenario based and key word driven test types
  • Working level of knowledge of FuSa (Functional Safety) and SoTiF
  • Degree educated in relevant Engineering discipline ( though practical experience will be considered as an alternative )
  • Masters Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
