Contract Type: Up to 15mth Secondment
FTE Salary: Up to £25,500.00 benchmark, dependent on experience
Location: Eastleigh

Agency Administrator: An opportunity has become available to join our Finance department in Eastleigh as an Agency Administrator to support our business operation.

The Agency database is our central business record system and the Agency Administrator will play a pivotal role in the department as they will be responsible for handling queries from customers, both internal and external and ensuring that the Company's Agency Record System is accurately maintained to the highest standard. Records must be kept secure and compliant at all times.

Reporting to the Agency & Credit Risk Controller, the Agency Administrator will monitor, examine and process all correspondence and enquiries relating to the Agency record system and new Agency applications, in consultation with the Agency & Credit Risk Controller.

Main Responsibilities as Agency Administrator:

  • To examine and process efficiently and accurately (within agreed KPI's) all correspondence and enquiries relating to Existing Agencies and new Agency applications, in consultation with the Agency & Credit Risk Controller
  • To maintain records on Agents with bespoke contract Endorsements, including the creation of new Endorsements in consultation with the Controller, where necessary
  • To assist with and/or own bespoke projects as required, including month end tasks and ad hoc support to Credit Risk reporting. All projects to be completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • To undertake financial reviews (including use of a CreditSafe credit reference agency facility) of existing agency arrangements as and when required in relation to certain changes i.e. Change of Directorship
  • TCF. To ensure that fair treatment of customers is at the forefront of all day to day operational activities, and that prompt action is taken to ensure compliance
  • To add new records and maintain existing records within the risk reporting tool (REG)

Skills and experience you need as Agency Administrator:

  • Positive and flexible approach, ability to multi task
  • Good communication and customer service skills, written and spoken (ability to be diplomatic, understanding and firm with both internal and external customers)
  • Good keyboard and numerical skills in order to produce and interpret Agency statistical information
  • Working competency of Excel & Word packages (including formatting and data manipulation)
  • Understanding of the AIL Agency record system (iSeries) and our Terms of Business Agreement
  • Understanding of FCA regulations regarding banking, money handling and 'Approved Persons' guidelines
  • Basic understanding of statutory financial information, credit checking facilities
  • Knowledge and application of TCF outcomes
  • Familiarity with AIL Counterparty Default Risk Policy and Credit Policy
