Role purpose

In this exciting new role, we’ll rely on you to provide support to deliver the Asset & Liability Management and Regulatory Reporting; aiding with the daily tasks focussing on data processing and reporting across the balance sheet. You’ll help to build and develop our data modelling, reporting and analysis to ensure that we understand performance trends and that complex data is turned into digestible business insights.

In this role you’ll find yourself

  • Providing support for the day-to-day management of the treasury function, including liquidity risk, HQLA portfolio, and IRRBB, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory risk appetite.
  • Assist in the preparation of a comprehensive suite of regulatory returns in accordance with the firm's regulatory requirements, including COREP, FINREP, and Bank of England returns, while staying updated on the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Provide guidance and support on regulatory matters concerning the development of new products, including new data requirements, leading system implementations, and ensuring accurate reporting internally and externally.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the bank's ALM system (ALMIS) and Treasury (COBALT), producing necessary reports for regulators, generating formatted outputs, and conducting interest rate risk and liquidity stress assessments as needed. Ensure the accuracy of trades, reconciliations, and accounting entries.
  • Establish a robust control environment for report preparation with clear documentation and governance, serving as the primary contact point with auditors for regulatory reporting, both internally and externally.
  • Participate in Pillar III, ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP and all treasury (and wider business) related project activities as required.

A bit about you – You are/will have most of the following:

  • Exposure to banking regulatory reporting returns
  • Experience of reporting on business performance to external parties
  • Experience of lending, treasury and savings within a banking environment
  • Curious, creative and keen to have an impact
  • Driven by quality and accuracy with a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where ready-made processes don’t always exist – you can navigate ambiguity and clearly identify what could be better.
  • Strong data literacy and analytical skills which will mean you can extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity and make sure action is identified and taken.
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to interpret data to identify emerging risks / key trends
  • Excited by the opportunity to work in a start-up bank with a real purpose
