Application Engineer
Our business partner are currently growing at an exponential rate and are looking at adding to their engineering team. They have a well established reputation in manufacturing specialist equipment for the pharmaceutical industry. Huge investment is ongoing at the facility and it is an exciting time to join them.
If successful you will be responsible for the conceptual design and development of equipment and systems and redesign of existing systems to fulfil the requirements of internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all sales prospects, enquiries and quotations for category 3, 4, 5, and 6 are professionally managed and delivered to the customer in accordance with procedures
Accurate identification, optimisation and collection of all cost estimates
Promote and achieve good working relationships with customers to assist the process of identifying and winning new work
Continually seek and identify opportunities for cost savings through innovation and the application of best practice
Ensure through regular formal communications that the Customers expectations are understood and constantly being delivered
Answer customer inquiries regarding company engineering and production capabilities and provide technical information across the product range
Work with the Sales Team to provide technical information for presentations, etc to the customer
Determine if an existing or previous application can be used to provide a solution to a customers requirement
Develop equipment specifications for all category 3, 4, 5 and 6 applications to provide a solution to a customers requirement
Review customers User Requirement Specification (URS), Tender or other inquiry to develop the Equipment Specification
Design conceptual layout of projects to provide information for the preparation of the proposal drawings and estimates
Review price estimates and delivery commitments for potential new jobs
Prepare sales proposals to present to customers
Follow up directly with customers to ascertain the status on project quotations when there is no direct sales representative or agent involved
Key Requirements
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, ideally a degree
Effective verbal and written communication
Effective time management
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
High Level of accuracy and attention to detail
Team Player
