Application Security Engineer
Our client based near Manchester is currently looking for an Application Security Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring that the code quality being produced across the development teams meets the highest standards through static analysis and developer support.
Responsibilities:
Assurance of the safe coding lifecycle, creation, and maintenance;
Static Code Analysis (SAST) tooling operation
Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tooling operation and review
Support of code reviews with external parties;
Developer consultation and training to instill and support coding best practices;
Code audits
Automation of DevSecOps
Skills and Experience:
Experience inoperating in a Secure Software Development Lifecycle environment;
Information security application assurance certification preferred;
Static Analysis, using enterprise static analysis tooling;
Dynamic code analysis, using manual and automated testing practices.
Use of the OWASP Top 10 Web, Mobile, and API; CWE; or other industry standard-based defect classification;
Software development, particularly within Microsoft .NET, iOS, Android, and JavaScript development languages, and frameworks.
Training and support to others in understanding security and privacy concerns;
Infrastructure as Code and operating in cloud computing (Azure preferred);
Software Composition Analysis understanding, including legal issues.
