Broadway Malyan’s Urbanism Team is one of the world’s leading masterplanning and urban design consultancies, working on a number of major commissions in both the UK and overseas. We are seeking an enthusiastic Architectural Assistant with Urban Design skills to assist in growing our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects for major UK clients, comprising residential and housing sectors such as regeneration, garden villages and strategic developments, concept design, and pre-planning work. Our key sectors are urban living residential and housing neighbourhoods ranging in scale and types, such as private and affordable housing with supporting community uses.
Our projects are focused on creating great places to live and the candidate will have a key role in helping to visually communicate our visions to a wide range of stakeholders with whom we engage regularly. Opportunities will be offered to engage with other professionals internally and externally as part of our evolving design process.
The candidate will require the following core competencies:
- A minimum of 2 years experience and passion for place-making.
- UK experience, preferably on medium to large-scale projects at feasibility and planning stages.
- Housing / residential experience or an interest in this sector
- An architectural background with a good and demonstrable understanding of place-led design or additional qualification in Urban Design.
- Good knowledge of urban design best practice
- Essential hand drawing/hand sketching and ability to produce presentation quality hand-drawn illustrations
- Excellent visual/graphic presentation skills
- Committed and enthusiastic team member
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Adopts a flexible approach to work
Software Capabilities:
- Fluent in AutoCAD
- Revit (would be an advantage)
- Adobe InDesign
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
