UK Overheating is the first company in the UK dedicated to the assessment of overheating in dwellings. We undertake assessments to comply with Approved Document O (England & Wales) and Scottish Building Standard 3.28.
Our unique offering combines the knowledge of environmental constraints associated with building sites to develop a single coordinated overheating strategy, accounting for thermal comfort, acoustic comfort and indoor air quality.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Architectural Technician at UK Overheating located in Birmingham. The Architectural Technician will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as 3D drawing processing, Sketchup 3D modelling, 3D modelling within dynamic thermal modelling software and documenting designs. The role will involve both in-person and remote work as decided by the company.
Qualifications
- Architectural Technology and Architecture skills
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with building regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related field
