Job Description

VANRATH has partnered with a leading Timber Processor to hire an Area Sales Manager for the Northern Region of Ireland (Including Northern Ireland). The sales team is expanding due to continued growth and investment in the UK and Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join and lead a dynamic sales team and have ownership of both new and existing sales business.

Reporting to the Head of Group Sales, the successful candidate will join a dynamic sales team. This is a

Responsibilities:

  • Repeat selling to a well-establish customer base, as well as generating new customers
  • Account managing for existing customer accounts
  • Build and develop on strong relationships with key accounts and Buying Groups across the region
  • Working towards and exceeding sales targets and milestones, while maintaining a high level or customer service
  • Willingness to grow and lead the sales territory
  • Update CRM system and maintain sales process from a key account / customer service perspective
  • Strong journey planning and excellent account management experience.

You will be covering the areas of Louth, to Donegal, including Monaghan, Cavan and NI.

The Ideal Person:

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy selling, are achievement orientated, and thrive on the challenge of managing a diverse team to exceed expectations. The ideal candidate will have timber sales experience, or experience selling to builders’ merchants, be success driven, and enjoy a dynamic and challenging environment.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A college/university qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
