Job Description
- Supervise the billing and invoicing process for tenants, ensuring accuracy in generating invoices for rent, service charges and utilities
- Help with the quarterly financial close of the AR and billing function
- Monitor KPIs and generate reports of AR metrics, aging trends, and collection efforts
- Provide insight to senior management for decision-making processes
- Track outstanding balances, identify overdue accounts, and set up collection activities e.g. reminders, collection calls, and escalating efforts as needed
- Manage effective communication between teams in relation to debt management and responses to tenant queries
- Oversee the processing procedure of incoming payments, and build relationships with tenants to improve accuracy of allocations
- Implement internal process improvement policies to help best practice and streamline operations
- Enforce credit control policies to reduce credit risks, establish credit limits & monitor credit terms
- Lead and mentor a small team of 4 credit controllers and 3 billing administrators including performance management, training and development
- Ensure tenants are complying with lease arrangements and rental contracts
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant AR & Billings Manager should have:
- MUST have previous property or real estate experience
- Strong knowledge of AR & Billing procedures.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
