About Us
Shaw Vets are a thriving single site small animal practice on the edge of Swindon. Run independently for 25 years prior to becoming part of the IVC Evidensia Group, we have many bonded clients, and many members of staff who have been here for one and even two decades. We are minutes from M4 J16, with parks close by and a nice mix of town and countryside-based clients.
We have modest equipment you would expect as standard and are continually investing to gradually increase or diagnostic abilities. Close by we have a network of referral centres and are not afraid to ask for help.
Currently we have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 5 Support Team members. Supporting pet behaviour is particularly important to the practice, with our Nurses undertaking the COAPE qualification, frequent use of fear free handling techniques and currently renewing our Cat Friendly ISFM status. Staff support and wellbeing is at the forefront of our ethos. We actively monitor workload to achieve a good work life balance for all our staff.
