Oval Pet Centre, Sidcup has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our well-established practice. We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to our clients and their pets and take care of a varied caseload, typically, your week will consists of a nice mix of consults and surgery and we support any special interests. This will suit a vet looking for a supportive network where you can develop your skillset / knowledge.
Our friendly team is at the heart of Oval Pet Centre. We are made up of 5 full-time Vets, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 12 supporting team members. Our practice is multilingual and currently has Vets from Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Poland and Egypt. We are a very friendly, close, and inclusive team that like to promote a supportive culture and discuss cases when necessary. We are very supportive of CPDs if you want to focus on a particular area of care.
Rota patterns that work for you -
The Full-Time position is generally a 40-hour week, split into a 2-week rota. For example, Week 1 is 4 days (8.5 hours per day), Week 2 is 5 days (8.5 hours per day). Saturdays are 1:4 (9-5pm) with no OOH. We are happy to discuss the possibility of part-time shifts, for example working 2-3 days per week. However, we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
About us:
We are a busy first opinion small animal practice situated in sunny Kent, only 20 minutes by train to central London. You will work across all three of our practices, two for essential care and one vaccination clinic. We have the full range of diagnostics you would expect, Idexx blood machines, Idexx Urinaylsis in house, snazzy ultrasound and a Full Dental suite with X-ray.

Our ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon who has some post-qualification experience. You will be caring, enthusiastic and a team player, who has good communication skills.
