Role/ Context
Altum Consulting is currently working with a large multi-national that successfully completed a major acquisition this year. They've mobilised the integration management office to drive synergies and efficiencies across people, process, technology, and data.
We're recruiting a Cutover Business Analyst to join on an initial 6-month engagement. You'll play a vital role in planning and executing a seamless cutover strategy for migrating the acquisition into their SAP environment, ensuring minimal disruption to the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the acquiring and acquired entities to understand business needs and translate those needs into actionable cutover requirements.
- Analyse current business processes and workflows for both companies, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement during the cutover.
- Develop detailed user stories, data mapping strategies, and process flows to guide the cutover process.
- Document system functionalities and user workflows for the new SAP environment.
- Identify and document potential training needs for impacted users.
- Cutover Support:
- Assist the team developing cutover plans, outlining all required migration steps, timelines, and resource needs.
- Assist with risk identification and develop mitigation strategies to address potential cutover challenges.
- Ensure system designs balance both functional and non-functional requirements, considering user needs and technical limitations.
- Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure a smooth transition.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and the Cutover Manager, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the cutover process.
- Document cutover activities and progress reports for stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training materials for impacted users on the new SAP system functionalities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK), user story development, and data mapping.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Information:
- Hybrid working (2 days on-site in West Midlands)
- Initial 6-month engagement on a 1 year+ programme
- £500 per day (inside IR35)
