Business System Analyst responsibilities:
In this dynamic and varied role, your time will be split between technical Systems Analysis work and client-facing Business Analysis work, necessitating your flexibility and prowess in both technical and business domains.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and issues, showcasing your proven track record of successful project delivery. Client interaction will be a key aspect of this role, requiring you to adeptly discern requirements, estimate costs, and present comprehensive solutions.
You will have the opportunity to deep dive into the organisation’s revered insurance product portfolio, undertaking complex configuration and system to design to ensure the solutions meet the needs of clients that include Brokers, Insurers, Captives, Underwriters, MGAs, Risk Managers and TPAs.
Systems Analysis responsibilities will include:
- Configuring the systems to meet client specifications using SQL
- Building SQL queries and using SQL to report on and modify databases
- Detailed SQL scripting
- Creating documentation and MIS Reports using Report Builder tools (eg Crystal & MS Report Builder)
- Working closely with developers and end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
Business Analysis responsibilities will include:
- Client-facing work to determine requirements, estimate costs, produce project feasibility reports, present solutions/proposals
- Translating client requirements into high specified project documents
- Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
- Drawing up testing schedules for the product/model testing
- Writing user manuals and providing training to users of the system
Business System Analyst requirements:
In order to be successful in the role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Profound understanding of the insurance lifecycle
- Proficiency in SQL scripting
- Demonstrated analytical prowess
- Aptitude for learning insurance and financial applications' intricacies and functionalities
- Configuration proficiency for customising software applications to meet client specifications
- Ability to decipher business and system process flows, crafting suitable solutions
