Reporting to the Cell Leader the CNC Operator will manufacture precision parts to customer specification in line with company processes and quality ISO standards.
The Role Manufacture Production components from various materials.
Maintain a safe working environment ensuring that all company and regulatory standards are always achieved.
Contribute to continuous improvement throughout the factory.
Full understanding and ability to read drawings and set sliding head CNC machines.
Ability to reduce machining times through understanding of tool materials.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Able to make in house tooling and regrind drills.
Full responsibility to regular monitor and check production parts including first off and last off inspections.
Program CNC machines and the use of CAD/CAM (SolidCam) systems EXPERIENCE Time served or with a minimum of five years experience.
Full understanding of programming and using FANUC systems.
Understanding of Star machine capabilities, cutting materials 1mm to 40 mm diameter.
Working knowledge of a wide range of materials ie Brass, Copper, Inco alloys.
Use of Cad/Cam software (SolidCam) Choice of shifts Days 7 am 3:30 pm with an early finish Friday 2 pm.
Night 6:30 pm
- 5:30 pm with an early finish Thursday 1 am.
