Founded in 2021, Connect Earth is a London-based environmental data company that democratises easy access to sustainability data. We have created Leading API-First tools for Carbon Measurement through our suite of AI-Driven products. Our carbon emissions models are optimised for businesses of all sizes, increasing the horizon of opportunities to foster engagement, drive revenue and mitigate risk with customers.

We work with large financial institutions, such as KBC, SAP, Cogni, HLB etc., and support them in offering their customers transparent insight into the climate impact of their daily spending and investment decisions. Our investors include Plug and Play, Market One Capital, MSM Fund, Entrepreneur First, D2 Fund, Venista Ventures and more.
We are looking for a talented Content Marketing and Community Manager that is passionate about the environment and would like to learn more about climate change.

You will take on new responsibilities and will have the opportunity to get involved in more parts of the business as we grow. You will also benefit from a competitive equity package.

Key Responsibilities

You will be leading on our content strategy and the messaging / positioning towards our prospects and the market.
  • Define, execute on and refine the content marketing and editorial strategy, with the aim of positioning Connect Earth as a thought leader in the carbon measurement space within Sustainable Finance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales, Marketing Agency (who own paid channels and graphic design), as well as the Chief of Staff to drive Sales enablement.
  • Work closely with our Marketing agency Connect Earth's positioning and messaging consistently based on market developments and product innovations.
Content and email marketing is one of the most important pillars of our strategy. It is important to be positioned as a thought leader in the space, helping our prospects and customers understand the trends and regulations in the space that affect them. LinkedIn is our hub where we engage with our ABM accounts the most.
  • Generating monthly social media calendar including copywriting and design for our LinkedIn channel - 2 posts/week.
  • Generating content for 1 monthly thought leadership article, with contribution from the team. An example can be found here.
  • Creating and sending out 1 monthly newsletter. An example of this can be found here. You can see an overview of all the articles here.
  • Support with longer form content pieces such as press releases when needed.
  • Organise quarterly webinars with prospects and clients.
  • Explore and manage ad-hoc projects such as content creation around events, media packages, PR opportunities, photoshoots, videos etc.
  • Implement effective content distribution strategies to reach and engage our target audience including repurposing content effectively for relevant channels.
  • Manage and build relationships with media (PR list).
This area is dedicated to driving engagement with ABM accounts via LinkedIn and other channels (omnichannel) where possible and if applicable, something we expect you to explore for us!
  • 4+ hours/month of engaging with content of prospects in line with our ABM strategy on LinkedIn by liking their posts, commenting, etc. from the company's LinkedIn page.
  • Supporting the CEO and CTO in building their personal brands on LinkedIn.
  • Inviting connections to follow the company page.
  • Promotion of webinars and content.
  • Working with Sales team drive outreach.
You will also be responsible for some of the management required to drive the success of Marketing forward. We will have fractional CMO time provided by a marketing agency, and you will be the only in-house Marketing individual, which means it's important you manage our marketing tools as well.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales to align Marketing and Sales objectives.
  • Work with Marketing agency to understand how we can align content and our paid strategy.
  • Report on social media engagement, website activity and leads generated.
  • Work with Marketing agency / graphic designers to improve our website and create graphic designs that support our content.
  • HubSpot management and automation where necessary to drive our content strategy forward.
  • Provide support with (and present) investor/ board updates.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of content using relevant tools and metrics.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies accordingly to optimise for growth.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Required: Strong experience using ABM strategy to drive awareness in the market, inbound leads, and Sales enablement.
  • Required: 3+ years generating content positioned towards Enterprise clients.
  • Preferable: A good understanding of the carbon accounting industry, including regulations and standards, as well as recent developments.
  • Fluency in English.
