Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant

Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Annual Salary: £26k per annum + Bonus
A company based in Heybridge; Maldon has a position available for a full time Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has previous accounts experience and is ready for a new challenge. All software training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day accounts receivable duties
- Responding to client queries - liaising with sales teams to resolve any outstanding issues on the customers' accounts
- Risk Handling - recognises and flags up any potential risks
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Keeping close watch on debtor account balances
- Providing administrative support to Finance Manager
- Month End procedures - Statement runs/Aged Debtors reporting
- Reconciling Petty Cash
- Month end Journal preparation works.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- The ability to prioritise a heavy workload
- Knowledge of business sales ledger administration
- Knowledge of office programmes (Microsoft Office, Intermediate excel, Microsoft Teams)
- Negotiating skills/Confident using the phone.
