What you'll do:- You will work closely with Product Owners, Solution Designers, Scrum & Business Analysts, Principal Engineers and Technical Leads to ensure that Sky continues to deliver innovative new products and maintains its position as a market leader in television, broadband, mobile and business services
- Your focus will be on designing data driven solutions to support the operation of Sky's data driven CRM platform from sales through to fulfilment
- You will work with our design and engineering teams to translate commercial requirements into system rules consumed by our software services
- You will co -ordinate between multiple businesses using shared platforms to create one fit for purpose solution
- Your designs will be used by Data Developers within the team to provide catalogue data & rules as well as be integral to the development of the software components consuming that data
- You will work with Agile teams delivering real time solutions in a fast-paced dynamic working environment that allows the flexibility and support to perform at your highest level
- Every member of the team is encouraged to actively participate in suggesting ideas for new innovative solutions to complex problems. We take pride in making sure everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and take on exciting new challenges
- Your wellbeing and career progression is core to everything we do; you will play a pivotal role within a close and collaborative team
- The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in SQL, Java EE and JSON
- A passion for data alongside a grounded understanding of interaction between data and software
- Experience in object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
- You will be required to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of data and complex logic-based rules that we use at the core of our CRM systems decisioning engine
- Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to provide written & verbal updates tailored to your audience
- You should be a team player; always willing to assist others; always ready to make suggestions for improvement Ownership and pride in your work is essential you must be self-motivated and have a can-do attitude
- You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic environment with many often-conflicting demands
