Job description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative-thinking designer to join our team! With our in-house photo studio, we have the best creative space at our disposal to create content that stands out for our interiors clients.

Do you love creating content for brands that makes them stand out? And love coming up with ideas that tell the story of a brand? If so, this role could be for you!

At ITWR, we all share a passion for what we do, and we all love interiors (some of us didn’t know much about it before we started but you soon learn to love it…). We embrace fun, creative-thinking people and we’re looking for someone to join our ever-growing team.

Bringing ideas to life for our clients is not only fun, it’s rewarding. We want someone to join us who can complement our existing design team (they’re a lovely bunch) and get stuck in creating thumb-stopping social content.

Social media is an ever-changing landscape and we need someone who has their finger on the pulse and immerses themselves in it. Your main responsibility will include designing and producing a range of social media content for clients. You will come up with ideas, design, plan and edit content to use across all social platforms. You will be highly self-motivated, creative, and keep up to date with new trends and upgrades across all social platforms.

Interiors is a fun and creative world and our office is an exciting place to be! One minute we’ll be working on a launch campaign for pink and blue toilets and the next we’ll be thinking about how to redecorate our office (again).

Creative-thinking people are our people. We want to encourage all types of ideas and we’re constantly sharing different (sometimes a little too wacky) thoughts with each other, and we want our newest member to fit into that dynamic.

What the role will entail:

  • Designing a range of social media content from initial concept through to completion for use across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Video/audio editing and production.
  • Shooting content for clients in our in-house studio or out on location (think lo-fi content, showroom/warehouse clips, behind-the-scenes).
  • Be proactive in bringing ideas for social posts to the table, with a focus on Reels.
  • You’ll be working on the production of the content and the designs so you can be creative with how you bring the ideas to life.
  • Suggesting creative ideas and concepts for clients on an ongoing basis.

Key skills required:

  • Great technical skills including Adobe CC (InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro and apps such as Capcut / Canva and in-app editing).
  • Working knowledge of creating social content for brands.
  • A natural problem solver with strong overall design and layout skills.
  • A good communicator who’s not afraid of getting involved.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-organised.
  • Understand and respond to client feedback, seeking support if required.
  • Passion for learning new skills.
  • Thrive under pressure and welcome challenges.
  • A minimum of 3 years design experience.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • HTML / Dreamweaver knowledge
  • Print design experience

This role is perfect for you if…

  • You’re passionate about design and are a creative thinker
  • You have good experience in designing content for social media
  • You love sharing your ideas
  • You love a fun, engaging and creative environment
  • Snacks… we really do like lots of snacks…
  • Plants (we have a bit of an obsession, step into our office and you’ll see what we mean)

Overall, we want someone to join our bubbly office life and really integrate into the team!

Why In The White Room?

  • We have a beautiful office located in the centre of Tunbridge Wells
  • You’ll get your very own cosy workspace (with plants and a lamp as standard…)
  • It's a friendly, collaborative atmosphere and an all-round lovely place to work!
  • There's a chill-out room and a nice sociable kitchen
  • We work comfortable, flexi-hours (not many late nights)
  • You get 3 duvet days per year (for those days where you need some extra rest) and 20 holiday days plus Bank Holidays
  • We finish early on Fridays
  • We have Christmas parties that never fail to deliver! And summer socials & events throughout the year
  • And finally... an on-site car park (which is very handy!)

Keen to progress?

We are big supporters of those who want to progress. There is no glass ceiling at In The White Room… if you’re doing a good job and you show initiative and the drive to want to progress, there will always be room. There are no set timelines for promotions or progression… show us what you can do and what you have to offer and we’ll listen!

If this all sounds like a bit of you, then ping us your CV and examples of your work (the more we can see, the better) and tell us why you think you’d be perfect for the job! (before doing so, please take into consideration that this is an office-based role, based in Tunbridge Wells).
