Director, Product and Banking Relations

About The Opportunity

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a key appointment for a fast-trajectory growth Payments firm. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing firm-wide growth and commercial strategy through effective product development, management and client partnerships.
  • You should be an open-minded, pro-active individual who demonstrates through extensive practical experience, a track record of growing and scaling fast-paced, challenging and changing business, on a global level.

You Will Be Challenged To

  • Driving market requirements for the business and developing product strategy, translating it into use cases, requirements and roadmaps.
  • Managing and leading the product and client partnership team, as well as providing wider Strategic insights and guidance to the Board surrounding growth.
  • Building and executing the onboarding process for new banking partners and managing current partnerships, connected to new and enhanced solutions.
  • Managing product pipeline, drive product development projects, capitalizing on cross-functional cooperation.
  • Providing input into the development of pricing policy.
  • Driving the development of tailored solutions for one-of-a-kind customers.
  • Building knowledge base, be the go-to product expert and partnership consultant for internal teams.

Candidate Profile

This is an essential hire for the continued growth and direction of the business. Individuals should demonstrate the following knowledge and qualities:

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years’ expertise in developing and launching payment products, including cross-border solutions.
  • Practical exposure in Fintech Start-ups / Scale-ups.
  • Experience in Banking Relationship Management / Correspondent Banking
  • Excellent project management skills; and technical knowledge of risk, regulation and compliance requirements.


Interpersonal Skills

  • Highly motivated and creative – a confident and passionate outlook.
  • Desire to work as part of a cohesive management team, to support shared goals and be driven/ target orientated. A strong sense of pride and appreciation of customer experience.
  • You will have a strong eye for detail with exceptional organizational skills and be passionate at helping to grow a start-up in the Fintech space.
  • A proactive, motivated approach – the ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Ability to adapt to and perform well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
