Director, Strategic Communications
We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Strategic communications to join a not-for-profit professional organisation, for a 12-month maternity cover.
The role is a key part of the global corporate communications team and is responsible for developing and executing corporate communications activities to support the organisation and its senior leadership. This role collaborates with peers and leaders across functions and regions to identify opportunities and create plans that raise awareness of the firm as well as helping to drive global media relations strategy.

Our client is looking for a Director who is strategic, has strong written, verbal and presentation skills, as well as being personable and flexible. Has a breadth of experience in global PR or communications, along side a Bachelors degree in a related field!

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive global PR strategies and campaigns to generate positive media coverage and expand awareness globally.
  • Support the execution of global PR programs in partnership with regional communications leads in support of their regional objectives and specifically to reach the candidate demographic.
  • Support and help execute the team's content strategy to reach a younger demographic, including content partnerships, paid media, influencers, and social media.
  • Maintain strong relationships with top-tier and media outlets to maximise PR opportunities and to enhance awareness in the financial press.
  • Help lead PR and executive communications efforts for senior leaders, including occasional speech writing and presentations.
  • Assist with managing PR agency relationships to ensure that the agencies are performing optimally.
  • Collaborate with senior executives, business, and marketing teams to prioritise and participate in relevant media and other external communications opportunities.
  • Provide support to the Head, Global Corporate Communications, for all aspects of media relations and corporate communications messaging and management.
  • Occasional travel to meetings and events may be required.
