Are you experienced in Donor Finance and seeking a fixed-term contract that offers an unparalleled degree of autonomy and ownership? Looking for the opportunity to establish more efficient financial and compliance processes whilst working in a role that has direct interaction with Donors? If yes, look no further!

This household name international development charity are currently seeking a Donor Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing team on an 18 month FTC, with potential for future extension. Reporting into a highly experienced line manager, you will be fully responsible for the financial management of one of the charity’s most high profile Consortium’s, liaising directly with donors and a variety of stakeholders across the world!

The key duties of this Donor Finance Business Partner are as follows:

  • Take the lead in the financial management of all projects throughout their lifecycles within your directorate.
  • Full responsibility for the preparation of financial reports and narratives for submission to the donor in a timely fashion.
  • Play a leading role in the development of budgets for all programmes and closely monitor spend against this in line with donor requirements.
  • Have a strategic outlook across all projects within your directorate, flagging any deviations from plan and track progress on follow up actions as required.
  • Ensure that all projects remain compliant with donor terms both at project commencement and throughout the lifecycle, developing risk mitigation strategies were necessary.
  • Deliver first-class training sessions for the budget holders in the interest of enhancing financial knowledge and understanding.

This is an exceptional role for someone with a background in international programme management who is now looking for the opportunity to work for one of the most well-known charities in the UK, whilst working in partnership with the stakeholders who are directly supporting the beneficiaries. Furthermore, this role is being offered on a remote basis, with team meetings held in the Central London office once per month.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in the financial management of donor-funded projects.
  • A background working in the international development sector, although candidates with relevant UK experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Exception communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong budget management experience and excellent Excel skills.
  • Ideally, experience in programme awards management, but this is by no means essential.
