• Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs production machinery, such as Electric Motors, Hydraulic Pumps/Valves, Pneumatic/Hydraulic cylinders, Cranes, Automatic Shaws, Conveyor/Belt systems and related repair equipment such as Welders, Oxy-Fuel Torches, Drill Presses, Machine Tools, Power Tools and a full range of Hand Tools.
• To respond to emergency machine break downs.
• Ensuring all machines are safe and fit for purpose.
• Repairs and replaces defective parts, lubricates and cleans parts.
• Performs preventive maintenance (PMs) on electrical systems.
• Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment.
• Repairs and replaces defective parts. • Assists with safety system upgrades of equipment.
• Work with PLCs, ladder logic and electronic/ electrical drawings.
• Support the Maintenance Manager in upgrading and maintaining current production equipment and controls.
• Ensures equipment is operating correctly and communicates effectively with operations team and maintenance to resolve any shortcomings or make modifications.

• Must have troubleshooting ability with automated complex machinery
• Familiar with Temperature Controllers, PLC’s, HMI’s and Frequency Drives
• Solid understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Excellent understanding of Housekeeping and HES principles
• Ability to apply mathematical skills and work with blue prints
• Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
• Have knowledge of: Principles, methods and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, relevant state regulations, codes and ordinances pertaining to work; safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations
• Experience of extrusion or metal sector would be beneficial
