Job Description


As the Employee Relations Advisor you will provide a comprehensive ER service by building relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring the delivery of high-quality ER support to all internal customers.

Description

  • Effective management of complex ER matters such as Acas Early Conciliation discussions, Employment Tribunal activity, Settlement Agreement discussions.
  • End to end ownership of high risk and complex ER casework across all aspects of ER such as performance, long term absence, short term absence, disciplinary, dismissal, grievances, investigations, and appeals.
  • Coach and provide guidance to line managers in all aspects of ER for example providing advice, guidance, and support on ER casework.
  • Attendance in a HR capacity at ER meetings.
  • Identify and analyse trends and issues through effective reporting, proposing solutions as a result.
  • Support the implementation of HR and ER initiatives.
  • Act as a people champion and change agent across the business, espousing the company values.
  • Contribution to the continual development of policies and procedures
  • Creation, delivery, and implementation of ER related training to line managers as required.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as requested.
  • Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and HR/ER for example by keeping up to date with any changes, reading relevant journals and attending webinars/seminars.

Profile

* Strong experience of working within a commercial and fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience of dealing with matters such as Acas Early Conciliation discussions, Employment Tribunals, Settlement Agreement discussions and high risk, complex ER matters
* Experience of handling a high volume of complex ER casework.
* Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practise.
* Strong experience of working in partnership with leaders and colleagues to drive results.
* Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with all issues of business, especially when handling confidential or sensitive information, with a high level of attention to detail.
* High energy and enthusiasm, results oriented and able to deliver to deadlines.
* CIPD level 5 or desirable.
