About Our Client
Our Client is one of the premier European kitchen manufacturers employing over 2000 people - and this is your opportunity to join them in a crucial role which will be fundamental in helping grow their UK & Ireland market share.
Our Client is a highly successful family owned business and have recently strengthened their commitment in the UK and are looking for a motivated, adaptable, commercially focused and entrepreneurial finance professional to help lead the business and deliver and manage the growth they are looking to achieve.
Starting with what is an already successful business with motivated employees, a respected premium brand and a strong route to market through successful independent retailers - you will look to maximise market growth through hands-on analysis of working practises and data and provide commercial insight as to the best opportunities to exploit.
You will support the sales and service teams with information and guidance to help them achieve best possible results, whilst also exploring more strategic aspects of the business that will guide market growth opportunities as well as achieving maximum efficiency of delivery for the business and its customers.
Job Description
You will report to the Group CFO in Germany but day to day will have a great deal of autonomy in the delivery of your role, hence it will suit someone highly self-motivated who has the desire to work in a company where they take responsibility for a variety of tasks, small and large, and are happy being hands-on in how they operate as well as comfortable in senior management meetings.
In the role you will:
- Act as Statutory Director for Finance and Administration of the Ltd company
- Be a proactive member of the management team directly responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of the company
- Have daily collaboration with the sales & contracts leadership, including managing the workforce with them
- Develop and manage monthly reporting
- Oversee the accounting process including preparation of the annual report
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors and consulting firms as necessary
- Be key in the development of thoughtful recommendations to ensure continuous improvement of the company's financial performance
- Assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts
- Oversee and develop logistics and supply chain operations
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualified accountancy status (significant QBE candidates with relevant sector exposure may be considered)
- Strong commercial acumen - ideally gained in a retail/B2C business
- That you are a strong leader able to drive a team forward
- That you enjoy being a team player in a "roll your sleeves up" collaborative environment
- Solid commercial awareness and understanding of current external market factors
- That you have good IT skills and understanding of modern ERP and reporting systems.
- Experience working in a senior management role in an SME, sales focused business.
