Finance Business Partner - Community Operations

As Finance Business Partner at St John Ambulance, you will be responsible for providing support with the development of financial plans, business forecasts and analysis of the financial performance of all areas within Community Operations.

This role can be based from any manned St John office and will be a blend of working from home/local office and occasional travel to St John office hubs (mainly London, Birmingham, Sheffield)

As Finance Business Partner – Community Operations (COPS), you will be responsible for providing support with the development of financial plans, business forecasts and analysis of the financial performance of all areas within Community Operations. You will deliver high quality business insight to support, challenge and influence strategic decision making within St John’s management teams.

The Finance Business Partner will support the Lead Business Partner (COPS) in setting and delivering the strategic financial direction for the function. They will take a lead responsibility for specific business areas but will work across all areas within COPS to meet business priorities. Through regular meetings with key stakeholders, the Finance Business Partner will challenge reported performance against agreed plans and deliver high quality business and financial analysis to identify and present coherent rationales for change.

About You

To be successful in the role of Finance Business Partner, you should have previous experience in a similar position and significant experience in managing the day-to-day, monthly and annual production of management accounting processes. Experience in the charity sector is desirable but not essential. You should have a track record of delivering high quality business and financial analysis that provides insight into business outcome drivers, the future business state and alternative scenarios and options. You will be confident forming and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships at all levels and have strong excel systems and a good grasp of accounting software and analytical reporting tools.
