Financial Controller | Family Owned Healthcare Scale-Up | Hybrid Midlands


The Client

An established dental group is seeking a talented individual to join their finance team as they grow their network of clinics across the UK. The group prioritizes high-quality patient care and aims to create a welcoming environment that dispels common anxieties about dental visits. Unlike some larger dental chains, this group operates independently and prioritizes a localized approach for each practice. This ensures their staff and services cater to the specific needs of the surrounding communities while still maintaining a strong brand identity.


The Role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead our group's finance function. In this role, you will uphold our core values while overseeing the production of financial reports and accounts. You will also supervise any team members who contribute to the financial function.


Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop financial control.

• Manage and develop an accounting assistant.

• Prepare financial reports for all group companies.

• Liaise with auditors for a smooth audit process.

• Oversee bookkeeping tasks (expenses, payroll, invoices, etc.)

• Oversee bank balances across the group.

• Implement and manage responsible credit card policies.

• Develop business plans and financial forecasts.

• Provide financial information to stakeholders.

• Conduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulation.


What we need to see

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

• UK Driving License

• Experienced in process / control implementation.

• Strong communicator.

• Experienced in managing C level relationships.

• Leadership experience.


What we would like to see

• Happy to come in 2-3 days per week.

• NHS experience

• Dental experience


Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + bonus

Start date: ASAP
