Location: Remote - This role can be based anywhere in the UK as long as you are in an easily commutable distance to our office based in London Bridge.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Accounting
- Ensure month-end close on schedule (working day 1 after month-end); consolidation of UK and International entities.
- Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner for all entities (day 5); improve the financial data integrity, improve the control environment, and provide completeness of data for month-end and statutory reporting.
- Ensure that the management accounts are published in a timely manner (day 5).
- Balance sheet reconciliations completed (day 8); identify and resolve any financial issues.
- Ensure that the trial balance reflects Cambridge Audio s financial position correctly at all times.
- Manage the year-end close process and statutory accounts filing, supporting the external audit to ensure compliance. Liaise with auditors and prepare year-end audit packs.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation; liaising with budget holders to review/understand department performance and identify risks/opportunities to meet agreed targets.
- Statutory tax returns including Corporation Tax, Intrastat, EC sales to HMRC, VAT and PAYE.
- Update and review of the cash flow forecasting model on a weekly basis (analysis of weekly
- completed sales figures).
- Weekly sales and margin reporting; delivery of the weekly trading report.
- Maintain the fixed asset register for all entities.
Stock
- Stock reconciliation including ensuring that the annual stock take is completed.
- Contribute to decisions regarding Cambridge Audio s stock purchasing strategy.
Oversight
- Review the sales ledgers and purchase ledger on monthly basis. Review all transaction reconciliations for completeness.
- Ensure that all intercompany accounts reconcile.
- Manage bank accounts. Review the reconciliation of all cash accounts (Bank, eBay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, etc.).
- Ensure the correct posting of all accruals, pre-payments and journals on a monthly basis.
Continuous improvement
- Development of systems and processes, ensuring that controls are operating effectively.
Leadership
- Lead, train, develop and mentor a small finance team.
Key skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant with at least two years of post-qualified experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Able to demonstrable a high degree of technical accounting proficiency with strong balance sheet control and a good working knowledge of stock control/management (retail / e-commerce).
- Ideally your experience will have been gained across large company (financial best practice) and hands on SME.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains would be beneficial, a strong working knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, as a minimum) is essential.
- A good leader with a hands-on approach, you must be excellent interpersonally.
- Well organised with a high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
