Job Description

This a permanent position offered initially on a 6 month fixed term contract, which will be extended subject to satisfactory performance. 37 ½ hours per week, including some Saturday mornings on a rota basis

Epping Forest Re-Use is a registered charity, based closed to Epping tube station. We are a social enterprise assisting local people with the provision of affordable reuse furniture and domestic appliances. We are working in partnership with Lighthouse Furniture .

You will be the hands-on manager of this established project. You will manage, oversee and be accountable for the smooth and efficient running of the commercial operation of this project. You will be responsible for HR from recruitment through to training, development, and performance related issues. You will be responsible for budgeting, and in liaison with the trustees for marketing and fundraising activities. You will be encouraged to bring creative ideas and innovations for the further development of this project

To apply you must have:

· Experience of having managed a similar project or a retail outlet

· Proven experience in a successful operations manager position

· Excellent communication, leadership, motivation and team managerial skills

· The ability to work with a wide range of people and the drive to assist vulnerable people

· Enthusiasm and energy to continually challenge and improve work processes

· Evidence of health and safety and practical HR experience

· Strong IT skills

· A full driving licence and access to own transport
