Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the compliance, financial dynamics and business strategy of the entire Reed group and to have an impact on these.

The Reed Group's activities include the provision of specialist recruitment solutions, digital recruitment and learning, and, in partnership with local authorities and the government, the delivery of programmes that positively transform people and their communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the external audit of the group's annual financial statements.

  • Project manage activities undertaken by the group finance team.

  • Provide support to group finance in their production of periodic management accounts.

  • Liaison with key internal stakeholders and external parties including professional advisors, auditors, and the company's directors, to provide accounting advice on proposed and continuing activities.

  • Assist with wider group responsibilities overseen by the team including treasury and investments.

  • Additional duties as required to ensure effective performance of the team.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.

  • Experience of working in an accounting practice or providing in house accounting advice.

  • Working knowledge of FRS101, FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.

  • Analysis and problem solving skills with superb attention to detail.
