Dance Base is now recruiting for a Head of Dance for Health and Wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to join Dance Base to lead on and develop a key area of the organisation’s strategy.
As Scotland’s National Centre for Dance, we want to see people across Scotland engaging in dance as an art form, a way to exercise and a way of life. We support Scottish dance artists to develop successful careers and we develop opportunities for dance to be used in communities and in health and social care contexts to improve people’s wellbeing.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to lead on Dance Base’s health and wellbeing programme. The role will build strategic and community partnerships in Edinburgh and across Scotland and the wider UK to design and deliver projects. The role will also ensure that dance artists across Edinburgh and Scotland are able to deliver activity that supports health and wellbeing in various contexts by supporting networking, exchange and professional development opportunities.
This role is funded until 2026 as part of a new agreement with the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, and will work closely with their team to develop and deliver new projects.
Salary: £34,800 per annum
Contract: full time, 35 hours per week
