Head of Finance Business Partnering – Hybrid

Salary: £75,000 – 85,000

Client: Housing Association based in London

Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance

Managing a Team of 3 Finance Business Partners.

The client is looking for a Qualified Accountant.

This role is responsible for management accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, long term financial planning, and budgeting. A key deliverable for this role is to provide an effective and supportive interface between the wider finance team and the business – partnering each effectively to ensure that customer requirements are met and business decision making is informed and influenced by financial considerations. The Head of Financial Planning is supported by a Business Analyst and is responsible for their performance and development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepare and report the Management Accounts and ensure they adequately reflect the performance of the business and focus on the salient issues and key variances for financial management; as a key financial control, ensure the Management Accounts are routinely produced on time, to required quality standards, and in accordance with control procedures.

* Co-ordinate the maintenance of the financial business plan, ensuring that it reflects the key strategic objectives, the prevailing operating environment, regulatory factors, and the effective management of risk; conduct stress testing and consider recovery plans, and engage the business in the key financial assumptions and the design of the target credit profile and associated enabling actions.

* Act as the lead financial advisor and business partner for new business activities and special projects including development, commercial activities and other new initiatives; instructing specific external advice as may be necessary, interpreting this advice, and ensuring that it influences decision-making and financial practice; ensure that the accounting, record-keeping, and reporting enables the performance of these activities to be effectively monitored.

Experience from the Housing Sector of Property sector will be hugely beneficial.
