We are looking for a proactive and collaborative individual to join Save the Children UK as Head of Internal Communications & Engagement for a 14-month maternity cover opportunity, commencing in May 2023.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute as a member of SCUK's Corporate Senior Leadership team and work cross-organisationally to strengthen SCUK from the inside!

About the Role
As Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, you'll manage the Internal Communications & Engagement Manager and have oversight of all staff communications and engagement channels.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff & Strategy Director, you'll partner with Executive Directors and Corporate Senior Leadership Team members, playing a key role in shaping CEO, Executive Leadership Team and senior leadership engagement.

You'll be an excellent relationship builder, ideally demonstrating experience maintaining strong cross-organisational relationships at all levels and developing internal networks. You'll be creative and innovative, open to trying new ideas and learning from both success and failure to make things better next time.
You'll be comfortable working with colleagues at the most senior level and confident providing them with counsel informed by your professional expertise and your deep understanding of effective internal communication.

Ways of Working: Remote First – This role can beperformed remotely, however you maywork from the office as often as you wish.Whilst you will bepredominantly working from home, we may at times require you to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month).
