- Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and organisational standards
- Manages a team of information technology professionals supporting the location
- Directs technological research by studying organisation goals, strategies, practices, and user projects- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data centre- Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Track record of creating strong partnerships at all levels of the organisation
- Strong critical thinking skills: ability to solve complex problems, prioritise issues, and implement sensible solutions
- Excellent organisational, planning, and project management skills
- Self-directed, positive, and ethical role model with professional credibility, accountability, and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to absorb new concepts, facilitate discussions, and lead team members to deliver the best customer experience
- Communicates issues in advance to prevent potential impacts
- Ability to analyse and articulate technical concepts to non-IT business partners in a clear and concise manner
