We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher as Head of IT to start in September 2023.

Branwood Preparatory School is a thriving co-ed prep day school for children between the ages of 3 and 11.Located on an idyllic tree lined road in MontonVillage, Eccles (Salford – Greater Manchester). We are aiming to interview shortlisted candidates on Friday 21st April 2023.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

·Designing and delivering a tailored IT curriculum across the whole school;

·Designing and delivering extra-curricular clubs as directed by the leadership team;

·Monitoring and reporting on IT progression across the whole school;

·Development and management of the school’s IT infrastructure and resources in conjunction with the Bursar;

·Managing accommodation to create an effective and stimulating environment for the teaching and learning of IT;

·Management of the continual strategic direction and development of the IT;

·Management of compliance issues in relation to IT and online safety with regard to key compliance criteria such as KCSIE, including the review of existing policies and the creation of new relevant policies;

·Identifying staff training needs, planning and delivering internal staff training sessions, and organising external training where required;

·Monitoring of staff implementation and usage to ensure best use of resources;

·Attending governors meetings to support the Bursar in funding requests and development strategy overviews;

·Assisting with the induction of new staff with particular emphasis on data security and online safety;

·Working with the SENDCo to ensure appropriate subject specific targets are set and work is matched well to students’ needs;

·Ensuring that the senior leadership team is kept well informed of all relevant matters;

·Establishing and acting upon staff resource needs;

·Taking overall responsibility for the development, implementation and review of Branwood’s IT provision.

·To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
