Job Description

As head of regulatory reporting you will be;

  • Responsible for submission of all internal and external regulatory returns to group, the Bank of England, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Prudential Conduct Authority and individual country regulators
  • Responsible for the management and leadership of 1 direct member of staff, with whom the Head of Regulatory reporting must work effectively and coordinate the regulatory reporting packs submissions of the team of Finance Business Partners, who shall be responsible for preparation and commentary on individual regulatory packs for consolidation into the group regulatory reports.
  • Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are met for separate legal entities operating within the London business.
  • Liaise with and cultivate strong working relationships with Finance senior management, ensuring inclusion in all necessary forums and updates to enable the Regulatory Finance function to remain abreast of Group policies and interpretations of regulatory reporting developments as and when they occur.
  • Keep up to date with all new International Financial Reporting Regulations and any changes to the UK and SA regulatory environment, including the responsibility for horizon scanning of regulatory matters and the necessary interpretation of regulatory policies.
  • Assist in preparing, review and approve submission of other analytical Bank of England returns and of the BA610
  • Sign off on the consolidated regulatory financial returns and deal with any external queries.
  • Co-ordinate completion, review and submission of monthly risk returns to international regulator.
  • Attend all London Deal Conclusion Forums to identify any new products/ potential issues with deals coming onto the balance sheets from a regulatory perspective.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be;

  • Qualified ACA
  • have experience of working in a regulated Financial Services environment
  • Understanding of CIB business environment and products
  • Experience within UK PRA & FCA Reporting
  • Ability to work in a multi-currency environment, reporting and answering queries in GBP, USD
  • Be able to articulate and of a bearing to represent the Bank to senior management as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Have people management skills/experience.
  • Conceptual/ big picture thinking
  • Diversity awareness
