Head of Risk & Compliance, Europe (SMF16)

It sounds like it’s time for a fresh challenge, one where there’s plenty of scope for change and for you to add value.
You’ll be working for a well-established international market leader that has recently decentralised its Group Risk & Compliance functions. There’s still plenty of work to do designing, implementing and embedding the firm’s Risk and Compliance frameworks as well developing stronger relationships with 1st line and with key senior stakeholders.
You’ll manage, lead, motivate and develop a team of 8-10 Risk and Compliance professionals to promote a strong culture of risk awareness across the firm and to provide pragmatic compliance advice as and when required.
Ideally, you’ll already be an experienced SMF16, although exceptional individuals seeking their first SMF16 appointment will also be considered. You’ll have both Risk and Compliance strings to your bow, and you’ll have a proven track record of developing and implementing risk and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures. Any international experience would be an added bonus.
And most importantly, you’ll possess excellent leadership and managerial skills. You’ll have demonstrable experience of developing and motivating teams to deliver high quality regulatory oversight and advice.
Previous experience of asset services (share registry, share plans, share dealing etc.) would be advantageous but if you have all the experience detailed above then we’d love to hear from you whatever your Financial Services experience.
