Job Description

Head of Sales required for a material testing manufacturer based in Hook. The successful candidate will be experienced in a similar role within a similar environment. The Head of Sales is a leadership driven role that provides the sales team with the environment to deliver best practice, drive continuous improvement and commercial acumen whilst meeting the needs of both internal and external customers.

Head of Sales Position Overview

  • Lead, coach and support team members to maximise performance through a culture of continuous improvement, demonstrating ownership and responsibility across the business in line with the company values
  • Act as an ambassador of change, setting the future agenda and delivering transformational leadership
  • In collaboration with the Business Development Director be accountable for delivering strategic sales plans which enable the sales team to meet the company growth targets and improved margin.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and contribute to senior management discussions on the overall sales strategy and day to day business activities
  • Create and deliver against appropriate key performance indicators, setting relevant objectives ensuring alignment to the overall business goals
  • Continually review and establish sales processes and procedures which improve communication and deliver improved sales forecasting.
  • Accountable for delivering sales targets to meet the needs of the business and our customers
  • Identify, improve, and manage systems and technology which increase the efficiency of the team and optimise results supporting ERP implementation

Head of Sales Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in sales or marketing management, or related field

Five or more years of proven success in a sales or marketing leadership or senior management role

Understand the connections between people, business processes, and technology and are able to communicate across each of these areas

Have a sophisticated understanding of how process and procedures work together whilst maintaining a strong focus on communication and the demonstration of core values

The ability to provide strong leadership skills across a sales and marketing team with a track record of success

Head of Sales Position Remuneration

Salary dependent on experience GBP65k-GBP75k

We provide free lunch, sandwiches, baguettes, salads, hot food

- Non contractual bonus (1 months' salary)

- Xmas time we close down, (3 days of holiday)
