Brief Description
As a Health and Safety Manager, you’ll provide professional health and safety advice and support to project teams, co-ordinate the relevant business activities and to facilitate compliance with our Health and Safety Management System and all relevant legal, industry and company standards. Day to day you’ll support teams in the delivery of CDM Documentation, investigation of accident and incidents and the implementation of resulting recommendations, along with undertaking site visits and supporting regional and organisational assurance activities. You’ll be a conduit for safety between the project teams and the safety function, to deliver and embed learning through team briefings as well as our campaigns and updates. As a team player with a collaborative approach, you will work closely with the Principal Contractors delivering the Enhancement Portfolio. The role sits within the Southern Safety and Sustainability Team based at Puddle Dock (London Blackfriars), reporting into the Principal Health and Safety Manager. The role will be focused on supporting Southern Regions substantial enhancements portfolio, as well as providing support to our Civils Engineering Framework team. You will hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and desirably be a certified member of IOSH working towards Chartered status with significant experience in construction and/or railway capital expenditure works.
