We would be very happy to consider your application to join our skilled,enthusiastic and friendly team. To support the SWTRA Head of Service and deputise as necessary, in the overall management of the South Wales Trunk Road Agent, with specific responsibility for Network Management. You will
be a member of the SWTRA Senior Management team and be expected to be accountable and provide leadership, direction and operational management support to the Network Management Section in achieving its delivery objectives. To be responsible for the promotion, development and effective performance of the agent in the provision of a broad portfolio high quality network management services to ensure that the Strategic Road Network in South Wales is able to support the travelling public moving safely and to provide reliable journey times. This is achieved through the delivery of process and procedures to manage the organisations response to adverse weather, planned maintenance activities, incident and event management. Services within Network Management for which you will be responsible for include:
Incident Management
Resilience Planning/ Civil Contingencies Act
Tunnel Management
Winter and Adverse weather planning
Climate adaptation planning
Road Space Coordination and Major Event planning & management
New Roads and Street works management
Abnormal Loads routing
