The HR Advisor is an essential role that provides specialist advice, consultation and guidance to local management teams within the company. Based in Royston the Human resources and personnel function are needing someone keen to make a real impact on the function and further improve the services to all employees

This Royston based role offers 3 days per week work from home on their flexible working policy and the opportunity to directly see the impact of the work that you take on and drive within HR

Description

The job duties of this HR Advisor position include

  • Acting as a people partner to employees, senior management and their teams, in order to understand and meet their workforce requirements.
  • Providing expert advice and support on complex and sensitive HR cases, utilising HR metrics to monitor performance, and working with management teams to review the workforce establishment plans.
  • Developing the management capability of line managers by coaching them and providing them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities in line with the companies strategic direction.
  • Act as an advocate of change, championing change through educating and informing staff and managers, while also fostering a positive climate of employee relations.
  • Staying up-to-date on current employment legislation and best practice is key in order to ensure that these are reflected in the companies working practices and operations.

Profile

The HR Advisor you will have prior HR experience at an advisory level along with;

  • Excellent communication to build relationships with the HR team and other stakeholders.
  • In depth HR experience
  • A good grounding in HR and employment law
  • Positive and can do attitude with an eagerness to continuously improve HR
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisation skills
  • Resilience and a high level of integrity to deal with confidential and sensitive issues
