Reporting to the Group HR Manager and working with a HR Administrator, the HR Advisor will be responsible for supporting and managing the day to day HR transactions across our Blackburn sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • First point of contact for general HR queries
  • Completing investigation procedures and providing advice on disciplinary matters
  • Supporting with recruitment across all sites (from advertising roles to offers and onboarding)
  • Manage onboarding process and carry out inductions across the business with new starters
  • Conduct exit interviews will all leavers
  • Support with payroll checks and queries
  • Support with the development and implementation of HR working processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and provide a confidential platform for employees to talk about their issues in the workplace.
  • Monitor and report on key HR Data / KPI’s such as attrition rates, sickness absence etc.
  • Working with the Group HR Manager to identify and address any underlying issues
  • Update and issue key company policies and procedures, ensuring they are read, understood and signed to accept.
  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law to support in ensuring we remain compliant
  • Employee relations and support colleague engagement activities
  • Support with ad hoc duties and project work


What are we looking for?

  • Broad HR generalist experience
  • CIPD qualified / qualified through experience with minimum 3 years working in HR in a similar level
  • Experience working in manufacturing industry preferred
  • Able to work at pace and multitask well
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Active listener

  • Comfortable with IT and picking up new systems.
