HR Assistant required for a School on a temp to perm basis.
We are working with a faith school who are looking for a HR Assistant on a temp to perm basis
You will be promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.
- To participate in the administration of the recruitment process, including:Monitor and maintain the recruitment inbox
- Redact applications for shortlisting
- Circulate applications and send to Head of Department for shortlisting
- Liaise with Head of Department and SLT to arrange interview times, topics and tasks
- Compose the assessment centre schedule, book rooms, refreshments, equipment etc
- Call shortlisted candidates and follow up with a formal letter of invitation
- Log all visitors to the school on Inventory (visitor booking system)
- Compile interview packs for the panel
- Meet and greet candidates for interview and escort them throughout their visit (including being present during pc-based tasks).
- Ensure that Safer Recruitment needs / checks are met (references, DBS, Right to Work, Qualifications etc)
- Compose and send rejection letters
- MUST have schools experience
This is an admin heavy position, there is a need for a lot of cross checking and eye for detail is essential. There is also a lot of recruitment taking place and there will be a lot to do in this area, such as monitoring the vacancy inbox, placing adverts, collating applications, redacting applications and setting up interviews etc. (Training will be given). Good telephone manner is essential, as is written communication as there will be lots of emails to deal with.
Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday with 1 hour (unpaid) for lunch. 8.30am to 1.00pm on a Friday. This role is all year round so working in the school holidays
