Page Personnel are exclusively partnering with a leading retail business, based in Skelmersdale, who are looking for a HR Assistant to join their team on a 12 month contract. As part of this role, you will be responsible for supporting the wider People team in all areas of HR.

A market leading retail business, based in Skelmersdale, who are looking for a passionate HR Assistant on a 12 month contract basis. As part of this office based role, the successful candidate would gain excellent exposure to all areas of HR. This business offers some great benefits and there may be an opportunity for a permanent role at the end of the contract.

Description

The HR Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the wider People team in all areas of HR Administration
  • Updating and maintaining employee records
  • Resolving HR related queries, escalating where necessary
  • Managing the HR inbox
  • Accurately recording absences, ensuring line managers are informed
  • Providing recruitment support
  • Assisting the HR Advisors with employee relations cases
  • Tracking new starters including the management of the on-boarding and induction processes
  • Working alongside Supervisors & Project Managers ensuring the relevant weekly documentation is provided from T&A systems
  • Ensure the offices presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
  • Ensure sensible level of stock control in the office and warehouse
  • Liaising with CS department in order to facilitate the timely expedition of customer orders
  • Liaising with third party service providers
  • Working on a 3 weekly rota, including some late (9pm) finishes

Profile

The successful HR Assistant will have:

  • A proven track record within a similar role
  • CIPD L3 or above
  • Good knowledge of employment law, policies and procedures.
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • A genuine desire to learn
  • Flexibility to work shifts

Job Offer
