The Role:
Working closely with the UK Head of HR, HR team and Directors, the role will drive the implementation of the COWI People strategy. The role will require effective HR business partnering to the Directors, delivering support and guidance across all functional areas of HR including performance management, talent management, engagement, leadership development, employee relations, general operations and HR reporting. You will collaborate with Group People and Communications (P&C) and your colleagues in the global BL International HR team to ensure we are providing high quality, efficient, replicable, scalable and sustainable solutions that truly deliver value to the business.
 
On a day-to-day basis you will:
 

  • Support UK South (London and Bristol) leadership team by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources programs, strategies and initiatives.
  • Influence leadership decision-making through proactive partnering and delivery of expertise, sharing of best practices, and helping business leaders identify, prioritise, and build organisational capabilities.
  • Partner with VP South and respective team to deliver the talent objectives needed to support growth and build a work environment where employees can maximise their potential.
  • Implement policies, processes, and practices throughout the employee life cycle ensuring effective operations within the area of responsibility. 

 
About you:
As an experienced and mature HRBP, you have a well-developed tool kit and have applied this tool kit in a range of experiences within complex and professional environments. Your experience, confidence and maturity are key to becoming a trusted advisor to our leaders. In addition to this:
 

  • You will possess demonstrable experience in a HR Business Partner role.
  • You will have the ability to establish strong relationships with line managers in order to influence on people and organisational matters.
  • You are pro-active, energetic, resilient and able to effectively manage a number of deliverables and priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • You have successful track record of driving change including coaching and sparring with leaders at all levels within an organisation.
  • You will have experience of TUPE and change management.
  • You are CIPD qualified (or equivalent) and have detailed knowledge of employee relations legislation and HR best practice. Preferably a Chartered member of CIPD.
  • You have experience of working within a professional corporate environment, ideally in a multi-location and/or international environment.
