HR Business partner

£58,000 - £68,000 + Strong benefits

Hybrid working - office presence only when needed (Bedford approx. 1 - 2 days a week).

Are you a disruptive HR practitioner, do you challenge the way things are done and want to make the people strategy the best it can be for everyone?

Due to growth and bringing HR inhouse this is a brand new role reporting into the CPO, as the 3rd hire into the HR team (TA has already been hired) with others planned later this year, this data focused business are looking for an all round HR Business Partner to build relationships and connect with stakeholders supporting their people with everything from day to day operational HR, to career planning and paths as well as developing them for the future.

This role would suit someone with a full HR generalist background, CIPD level 7 and someone looking for the opportunity to put all they have learned into place and have the opportunity to really make a difference

DUTIES:

  • Supporting the organisation with a full range of HR Business Partner duties, being responsible for your own workload and having a forward thinking, positive approach
  • Focusing on the performance of the employees, utilising performance related technology to assist you and the line managers
  • Supporting the people leaders across the organisation, driving performance outcomes and building a culture of inclusivity and engagement.
  • Managing the end to end employee lifecycle you will make change happen and develop the culture of high performance and engagement
  • You will understand what the business needs through the strong stakeholder relationships that you have built and coach and guide line managers to get the best from their teams
  • Encourage self improvement and support learning and development creating career paths and opportunities
  • You will work closely with other areas of the business, supporting with hiring, employee lifecycle as well as any TUPE, ER, Policy and process amendment and creation, M&A activity support, benchmarking and pay reviews
  • You will also ensure all activities are completed through the hiring process including compliance checks, as well as regular duties such as payroll data collation
  • The role will also have many projects across varying HR topics to initiate, design and implement across the business
  • You will also be working alongside colleagues in international offices

SKILLS

  • You'll have a passion to be a disruptive HR practitioner, with a strong generalist background in all areas / disciplines of HR
  • You will have worked in a SaaS, IT, tech, data or siliar fast paced sector previously, ideally in a SME, start up or scale up business
  • You will be used to asking why and how! And be able to initiate questions, come up with solutions and want to lead a culture change of engagement and learning.
  • You'll have experience of coaching, developing employee's career paths, have great attention to detail and a passion for people
  • Experience of a scale up business, mergers and acquisitions, full end to end employee lifecycle including employee relations, as well as managing change is essential
  • You will have familiarity of a range of platforms and apps such including performance management software and being open to new ideas
  • CIPD Level 7 and ideally a Disruptive HR programme / course would be of huge benefit (not essential)
  • Experience of working with international locations a benefit
