We are looking for HR Business Partner to join an HR Team for a Consulting firm in London, SE1

Ideally you will have HR experience within either Financial or Professional Services. The organisation is Global and has a headcount in London of 75. A commercial business background is essential for this role.

They will consider hybrid working but is expected you will be in the office at least 3 days a week.

This is a varied and multifaceted role which encompasses all HR related issues including but not limited to; recruitment, induction, payroll, performance management and policy creation in line with relevant legislation.

In addition, you will act in support of the Senior Management team in terms of strategy implementation and roll out, to the wider business.

Drawing on your experience of change management, you will help develop and drive new initiatives in employee engagement and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Directors and Senior Management in developing and implementing an HR strategy to run in conjunction with the overall business plan to deliver on the company objectives, vision and mission statements.
  • Maintain and be primarily responsible for our staff development review process linked to competencies and ensure that managers deliver these in a timely manner and in a way that encourages full participation across the business
  • Identifying, analysing and assessing the training needs of individuals by liaising with senior managers in particular where additional training is required e.g. on promotion.
  • Develop training programmes and learning initiatives for all staff.
  • Deliver and support all recruitment campaigns and develop effective recruitment techniques including telephone screening and psychometric assessment as well as face to face interviews and assessment centres.
  • Support and advise managers on any HR related issues.
  • Payroll input to outsourced payroll providers for three Geographic areas.
  • Take control of the new People HR system and ensure it is fully implemented and fit for purpose in line with the company’s needs.
  • Monitor absence and sickness, advise managers on strategies to deal with the short term absences and manage long term illness and return to work procedures, referral and liaison with occupational health
  • Effective management of formal investigations and meetings including disciplinary and grievance.
  • Manage the variety of performance and disciplinary cases, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Support the company in any HR initiatives/ awards / audits as and when required
  • Full suite of electronic documents to support managers in recruitement, onboarding and appraisal processes
  • Successful and timely facilitation and support of the annual appraisal and review process
