Description
The key responsibilities of the HR Generalist will be to:
- Developing and preparing new HR Policies and Procedures, as and when required;
- Developing and preparing methods to improve employee retention;
- Being the gatekeeper for all employee questions in relation to HR issues and application of the Firm's policies and procedures;
- Working with and collaborating with the Heads of Departments in relation to managing employees in respect of disciplinary, grievance and performance management - in either a formal or informal process;
- Providing expertise and guidance to Heads of Departments in relation to any Human Resources or Employee Relations based issues affecting the different teams and departments;
- Providing administrative support in relation to payroll, holiday pay calculations, and benefits;
- Being responsible for and taking ownership of the benefits provided to employees and looking for ways to cost effectively manage or improve these for the benefit of employees;
- Working with the Resourcing Manager to recruit support staff.
- Working with and collaborating with the people in the business responsible for recruitment and training and development to provide a holistic and end to end employee experience;
- Reporting regularly to the Executive Committee / Team in relation to any patterns or issues that may arise across the employees;
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships with the Heads of Departments and the Executive Committee;
- Play an active part the HR and ER function across the Firm

The successful candidate for the HR Generalist position will have:

- Legal sector knowledge preferred
- Detail oriented
- Experience of effective preparation and delivery of workplace, HR and employment policies and procedures
- Knowledge of HR and employment law procedures
