This heritage organization is looking to grow its procurement function and is therefore seeking an Indirect Procurement Category Lead to join its team. You will be working amongst an excellent company environment that provides great support for your development through gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, including working with the head of procurement, as well as provision of training initiatives.
This company has an established procurement function, however, they are continuously identifying areas for improvement across the end to end procurement function which allows you to suggest and implement fresh strategic procurement approaches.
Indirect Procurement Category Lead responsibilities….
- Drive procurement strategy across the end to end procurement function in relation to a generalist range of indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to, Professional Services, HR, Marketing and FM procurement
- Continuously identify areas for improvement across the end to end procurement function by recommending and implementing fresh approaches to procurement practices and processes
- Support vendor management of key suppliers and oversee important relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake a variety of day to day procurement activities, from negotiation and SRM to supporting on supplier selection strategies and assessing supplier capabilities
Indirect Procurement Category Lead requirements…
- Degree / (M)CIPS desirable but not essential
- Ability to demonstrate past procurement experience within the indirect procurement space
- Strong skills surrounding strategic sourcing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement
